COSWIN 7i has been chosen to manage Inventory, Stocks, Planning, programming and control of maintenance activities of ALMA. ALMA’s structure and system are complex : large amount of equipments produced in many different institutes or Contractors worldwide and the variety of development, construction and maintenance tasks. |

The observatory will be a synthesis radio telescope constituted by 54 antennas of 12 m diameter and 12 antennas of 7m diameter, operating in interferometric mode. Astronomical observation will be carried out at the Array Operation Site (AOS) located at an elevation of 5000 meters above sea level on the Chajnantor plateau in the Atacama desert in northern Chile. |
