Profile of Lamine Lo - Consultant & Project Manager

Montpellier | 16th June 2010

1. What are the responsibilities of a consultant in the Services Department?

Our responsibilities are varied but fall into three broad categories: Advice, training and client support.

1 Advice
The first stage is to listen and to learn about the client’s needs. Our experience and knowledge of the CMMS industry allows us to understand the client’s need and to propose solutions that will be suitable for them. Advice is our ‘added value’.

2 Training
The Siveco approach is based on high quality transfer of competences to the Coswin users. To achieve this we have an internal training system that allows us to stay up to date with changes in new versions of the software. Our courses are accompanied with reading materials and presentations.

3 Support
With our expertise using Siveco solutions and knowledge of the client’s operations, we are able to provide competent and efficient support during the implementation of their project.

2. What are your responsibilities within the Services Department?

As well as those already mentioned, I support projects in the health sector such as those at the Colmar, Roubaix and Harve hospitals.

The Coswin 7i Healthcare solution was developed in conjunction with these projects. It includes:
- a pre-configured solution specific for the industry,
- adapted vocabulary,
- pre-configured screen layouts for various user’s profiles typical to a hospital environment,
- a regulatory and legislative framework specific for the health industry,

The work was done jointly with our clients in the health sector. All the main departments of the hospitals were involved (technical, IT and biomedical).

3. What are the most rewarding parts of the job?

The work is interesting and varied. I work with many different companies, each one with a unique infrastructure and specific way of doing things. The development of a ‘new’ Coswin project for each installation is very rewarding. With every new client there is a new project to analyse. We have to re-define the processes in function of their needs. What a challenge!

To be able to listen and communicate and to have a good sense of client service are qualities that are indispensible for the success of a project. You have to know how to listen to the client to be able to establish confidence and build a relationship of trust with them. I have to capitalise on these personal and professional qualities and constantly adapt in a very innovative environment. That gives me great satisfaction.

I also enjoy working with the different departments within Siveco. We work closely with the Product team, the Specific Developments teams, the technical architects and the Customer Support team. The interaction and cooperation between the teams is also very rewarding.

4. What important projects do you have for 2010?

I am currently working to implement Coswin 7i at the Roubaix hospital. At the moment we are working on a functionality that will allow them to manage the depreciation of assets and equipment for accounting purposes.

I am also involved in the continuing deployment of Coswin 7i at the Havre Hospital Centre.

The Carrefour project is another important one that I am working on. We are now in the deployment phase. Our objective is to deploy Coswin across 400 Carrefour Market shops by the end of June. Carrefour now needs to establish key performance indicators and to put in place analytical and decision making tools. To enable them to do this, we will install Coswin Business Intelligence for them.
