Mtv wins ”Innovation of the Year” Award at Maintec 2011 |

| At the recent Maintec 2011 show in Birmingham the judges gave Mtv their unanimous vote to Mtv as Innovation of the Show. The reason: Mtv provides unique and original functionality that will make a substantial contribution to engineers and technicians and the field of maintenance. | |
| At the heart of Mtv is its multi-media editor whereby a technician/engineer in the field can take pictures, video, make audio comments or quickly sketch using his finger on the screen of his smartphone or tablet. He can then transfer this Mtv “container document” to his social network, a supervisor or a supplier. The technician can also receive any document, manual or drawing via Mtv. Studies show that technicians lose up to 75% of their time looking for information. Mtv will cut this lost time significantly.
Mtv makes simple and even enjoyable what was very difficult and tedious before: explaining complex technical problems.
Technicians are mostly away from the desk, emails and word processors; they are out in the field or in the factory and that is where they need to receive information, capture know-how and convey problem situations. |

| Technicians both need and like to explain but they resist typing long documents. And in any case, descriptions of the dynamic, intricate operations of equipment are best carried out in images, video and the spoken word. Mtv provides a solution to all these problems that affect almost every technician several times a day. | |
| Siveco is working closely with the owner of Mtv, a Swiss company IDSL. In the course of 2011 we will be delivering to our customers a number of products. The Mtv know-how product as described above will be available in September 2011. But in the meantime we have used Mtv technologies for our first iPad product: Cockpit & Reports is available on 15 May 2011, other products will follow. | |
