Founded in 1974, C\u00e9r\u00e9lia is Europe’s leading manufacturer of roll-out dough, best known for its Croustip\u00e2te brand.<\/p>

The company is present in Europe, Asia and North America with over 1,600 employees and 11 production sites. In 2012, it merged with De Bioderij of the Netherlands, achieving sales of over 459 million euros in 2019. <\/p>

The company’s values of research and innovation are reflected in its vision of maintenance. For example, it has decided to deploy a global CMMS tool to control costs and standardize practices across its French production sites. <\/p>

After the merger with De Bioderij in 2012, C\u00e9r\u00e9lia experienced very rapid growth and an increase in the number of production sites, particularly in France. Jean-Michel Delestienne joined the French Operations department in 2018, with the project of reorganizing maintenance at the four French production sites. <\/p>

“Today, my mission is to reorganize existing maintenance practices and harmonize processes, both preventive and curative. Above all, we want to clarify and standardize our methods across the different sites, depending on the resources available.”<\/p>

Until then, the company had no global maintenance tool. Each plant was responsible for its own maintenance, using either paper or Access work sheets. There was therefore a problem of standardization and reliability of information. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

“The planned reorganization required the support of CMMS software to formalize and dematerialize processes. With the chosen solution, it was essential to be able to manage maintenance from A to Z: management of equipment, requests for intervention, as well as related purchases and inventories, across all our plants. “<\/p>

In 2019, C\u00e9r\u00e9lia is launching a call for tenders to select the tool best suited to our needs.<\/p>

“We finally chose Siveco Group’s Coswin 8i solution when we visited the Bonduelle plant, which has been using their software since 2011. The advanced functionalities and their renowned experience in the agri-food sector were differentiating factors.
The fact that they offered a mobility solution – Coswin Nom@d – was a perfect match for our expectations: an on-board application, which would save maintenance teams on intervention from having to write reports on paper, this really won over our staff.” <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

“We decided to carry out this project step by step, in order to clarify as many things as possible before considering a global roll-out. The first year was therefore dedicated to a test phase on the pilot site in Strasbourg (67).”
As the project progressed, business workshops were organized with the teams to gather and pool their needs.<\/p>

“Our project manager at Siveco Group worked with us to determine which functionalities we should prioritize and how. We proceeded step-by-step, to ensure a smooth changeover. It was a real desire for us to take the time to build a foundation of good maintenance practices with our teams, by coaching them and with Coswin as a support tool. “<\/p>

Within the company, key users are appointed in each business team and on each site to test and feed back information from the field. Once the solution has been deployed, they will also be able to train future users of the solution. <\/p>

“For ease of implementation, we decided to retain Coswin’s standard functionality. This also enabled us to
change versions easily and simultaneously on all sites in the future. ” <\/p>

In this pilot phase, the Purchasing, Maintenance and Inventory modules were the first to be tested.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

“Today, we’re ready to roll out the CMMS solution to two other sites in Li\u00e9vin (62) and Dole (39), representing 40 users in all. After a one-year pilot phase, our teams can’t wait to start using it. We will then be able to tackle
the implementation of the Projects module using the same approach. <\/p>

As soon as the tool is up and running, we’ll be able to start using the data collected and improve its use as we go along. In addition to gaining better control of our costs and equipment, we’ll also be able to implement substantial improvement plans. <\/p>
